[MapHist] identification of detail from map

I have found an image on the web of a detail from a lower edge of an 
engraved map, showing a carriage (presumably equipped with a 
waywiser/odometer) and a perambulator; the surrounding text is in 
English. The detail looks very familiar, but I cannot place it.

Can anyone identify it, please?
